Review: Rose of Demark

Went for a meal with our two sons last night at the Rose of Denmark in Hotwells. We had some of the tapas plates to share as a starter including the tasty breaded rabbit with dijon mayo dressing. The smoked mackerel pate was enjoyable but the piece de resistance was the slow cooked pork with black pudding not only was it delicious but it was a stupendous portion.

The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our main arrived promptly and consisted of Rib eye steak which was teetering on overcooked for medium rare but the Venison pie, Burger and Ribs were delectable particularly the pastry. Loved the pewter tankard on each table filled with cutlery etc.

Overall would definitely return and recommend.
